OC&C Strategy Consultants’ integrated partnership model takes shape with new offices joining us
Friday 15 December 2017 | Press releaseOC&C Strategy Consultants today welcomes OC&C Poland into its integrated partnership as part of its three-year programme of change to move the firm from a federation of franchises to a closely integrated group of partners.
These changes have created a structure that allows for a core group of partners in the UK, the USA, France, Turkey, Poland, Germany and China to work seamlessly alongside associate partnerships in Italy and Brazil, which benefit from an exclusive relationship with its core offices.
Commenting on the new structure, International Managing Partner, James George, said:
“Three years ago we realised that in order to do our best work for clients, we needed to evolve our firm’s structure, substituting a federation of offices for a more closely integrated partnership. This ‘one firm’ approach is already producing dividends for partners and clients alike, with our integrated offices growing by 15% over the past year.”
As part of these changes, existing offices were consulted on their desire to adopt the OC&C ‘one firm’ approach. OC&C Poland decided to embrace the new model and has become part of the integrated core with immediate effect. In Germany, a group of partners from OC&C have also embraced the integrated model which will allow for OC&C’s continued presence and success in this strategically important market. The team will be led by James McDonnell, Christoph Treiber and Jan Bergmann who will lead a group of consultants operating out of Munich. A number of partners from OC&C Germany have, however, decided to leave the partnership in order to join E&Y’s strategy team.
Addressing the departure of German partners, James George commented:
“It is always disappointing when partners leave the network but we now have a team in Germany that is committed to our ‘one firm’ approach and ensuring that the full potential of the integrated network is realised in Germany, especially for our clients. We remain confident and excited about our ability to win ever more clients in that market.”
Over the past year, OC&C has welcomed new partnerships to its integrated network in France, Turkey and Poland whilst an associate partnership in Italy has also joined. It continues to have strong ambitions to maintain its market leading positions in its chosen specialist sectors, namely retail, leisure, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), technology, media and telecoms (TMT) as well as B2B services and private equity.
James George went on to say:
“For us, greatness is not about scale. It is about knowing what we’re good at, being relentless in the pursuit of the right answer, and doing it with a group of exceptional people. This combination is what makes us confident about our future. It is also a difference that our clients recognise, exemplified by the fact that 80% of our work is for clients who come back to us time and again.
“Ours is an ambitious partnership, excited by the huge opportunities in front of us which we are ready to seize. We’re intent on continuing to set the standard for the industry – for clients, colleagues and prospective partners alike.”
